HOME 2 SUITES

Thoroughbred provided boundary survey, civil design, geotechnical exploration, geotechnical engineering, construction monitoring, KBC Special Inspections and construction layout services for the Home2 Suites development in Georgetown, Kentucky. We completed a boundary survey for the client to use during property purchase and closing. Our team also created a preliminary development plat for submittal to the Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission for review and approval for development.

During geotechnical evaluation, our team determined that the site encompassed a mapped sinkhole per the Kentucky Geological Survey. Thoroughbred performed an additional 16 borings and Electric Resistivity Imaging (ERI) to confirm the size of the sinkhole. Using the information provided through our geotechnical evaluation, Thoroughbred assisted the owner in determining the most cost-effective way to stabilize the site.
