This project involved the design and construction of a 35,600 SF industrial warehouse facility in Georgetown, Kentucky. Thoroughbred served as part of the design/build team with Bristol Group as the lead. Our scope initially included geotechnical engineering and construction inspection services. The geotechnical investigation revealed varying rock depths across the site, resulting in concerns about differential settlement. To address these concerns, Thoroughbred recommended installation of micropiles to keep the project on schedule. Over the course of the project, our scope expanded, and we designed and installed the micropile systems as well.
